Overview: Michaelis Tire Pyrolysis Plant (1 line)

Continuous Tire Pyrolysis Plant commissioned in 2010

Technical Data

  • Standardized Concept: Designed for 10,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) of tires per line.
  • Long-life Quality: Made in Germany with an expected lifetime of over 20 years. Main components are constructed from stainless steel.
  • Variety of Pyrolysis Reactors: Available in both continuous and batch types.
  • Patented Technology: Features the Michaelis Paddle Reactor and blockage-free condensation.
  • Safety Standards: Comprehensive risk assessment, HAZOP studies, and ATEX compliance.
  • Cost Efficiency: Low capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenditure (OPEX).
  • Modular Design: Compact, modular structure with a low footprint.

Michaelis rCB Refining Plant

Michaelis also builds rCB Refining Plants, offering a complete solution for the finishing of recovered Carbon Black (rCB). Coarse rCB, obtained through pyrolysis, undergoes further processing to yield high-quality rCB. This refined rCB is highly sought after in the tire industry for manufacturing sustainable new tires, significantly reducing the carbon footprint by 80%. Numerous major tire manufacturers are incorporating substantially more rCB into their production processes.
